Week 4 Details

As we approach the midway point of the 2022 BHS football season, the boys continue to work hard every day on the practice field, in the gym, and in the critically important rehab room. Bodies are sore but minds are clear as we head into an exciting weekend. Here are some details.

  1. The resilient Varsity Team plays a road game against Monarch but notably, the game will be played at Centaurus' home field, Spangenberg Field, at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16.

  2. The surging C Team plays a home game at BHS's Recht Field against Monarch at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17.

  3. Both teams will be nourished as always with the traditional team dinner after practice on Thursday, September 15. Huge thanks to the various local restaurants that have stepped up to support these dinners and the great BHS Football families who have contributed time, food and treasure including The Seligman Family, The Keegan Family, The Gittes Family, The Sharpe Family, The Kinsel Family, The Vaillancourt Family, and many more.

  4. The BHS Touchdown Club will host a tailgate starting at 5:00 on Friday in the back area of the parking lot at Spangenberg Field prior to the Varsity game - weather permitting. It's possible there might be some grilled brats and fixins courtesy of Jason Gerlach (bka "Hammer's Dad").

  5. The Varsity game will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of the entire game will be posted there for viewing in the future. Thank you in particular to Pact for making live-streaming a reality.

  6. More than a dozen members of the Varsity Team did a great job supporting There With Care's Gala last week on their off day and we could not be more proud of them. The feedback on their efforts has been incredible. We'll announce the next volunteer opportunity soon and try to get the C Team in on the action as well.

  7. Pantherfest is rapidly approaching and will take place on Saturday, October 8, from 5:00 to 10:00 at the Boulder JCC. This event is a critical fundraiser for BHS Football and all of BHS Athletics. There will be great food and drink from Blackbelly, outstanding music by DJ D.Jaynes, and a fantastic lot of auction items and experiences including Red Rocks concert tickets and sports memorabilia signed by Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Nikola Jokic, and more. You can sign up to participate in the auction and/or buy tickets here.
